AddNew

The event AddNew is caused by the execution of code generated by the macro %%Perform in other action logic.

The action logic for this event is intended to

• prepare a SQL Data control for the addition of a record,
• clear the values of all list-type controls on the window that are bound to the SQL Data Control component (see the property ChoiceField)
• perform user-supplied action logic

Use of the macro %%NotOK in the action logic will cancel the record preparation. Otherwise the new record will be filed when the next UpdateRecord event occurs, which may be performed explicitly or may occur as a result of one of the Move-events (MoveFirst, MoveLast, MoveNext, MovePrevious or MoveTo).
