Bylaws

1. Name

The name of the committee shall be: MDC Subcommittee 16: Object Oriented Language, hereafter referred to as the Subcommittee.

2. Introduction

These bylaws have the purpose of extending and clarifying the Constitution of the MUMPS Development Committee; they are not intended to conflict with or circumvent it. Therefore, these bylaws are to be interpreted in the spirit of the MDC Constitution, and, in the event of apparent conflict, the MDC Constitution shall take precedence.

3. Scope of Work

The scope of work for the Subcommittee is defined in a separate document; it will be reviewed at the second meeting in odd numbered years.

5. Membership

1. Membership is by institution.

2. Membership will be automatically granted to institutions with members working on Subcommittee 16 Task Groups. Attendees may request membership at the beginning of each Subcommittee 16 meeting, during the membership status agenda item.

3. Institutions that have not been represented at a Subcommittee meeting for two consecutive meetings or have failed to participate in two consecutive mail ballots will lose their membership in the Subcommittee.

The Chair is responsible for the appointment of Task Group Chairs. Task Group Chairs serve at the discretion of the Subcommittee Chair.
