5.5 XMUMPS Specific Syntax

$&XMUMPS.GetString(xmember)

Returns the value of the element of the xtvpe referenced by xmember where xmember is a reference to the xtype element. The value is returned as a MUMPS string. This function notifies the implementation that the host system data type should be considered a string rather than as a numeric entity. This function is the inverse of &XMUMPS.SetString.
