While future versions of OMI may support the merge operation (see 4.1) directly, the present International Standard provides the tools for an agent to accomplish it. To merge from client to server, send set requests in the same sequence as in a local merge. To merge from server to client, walk the server’s tree with order requests or query requests while making get requests for the values.
