6.3.4.1.1 COMM

The event class COMM contains events that are associated with devices. evid is always a devicexpr for this class of event. Not all devices necessarily generate events. What devices generate COMM events, and under what circumstances is determined by the implementation. It is to be understood that use of COMM events may not be portable.
