☜ | numlitM[UMPS] by Example | ☞ |
Note that the "E" in "exponential" notation must be written in upper-case:
Reference | Value | |
---|---|---|
+"123e2" | 123 | |
+"123E2" | 12300 |
Note that, if a numlit contains an exponential part, the capital E and the number are required, but the sign is optional:
Reference | Result | |
---|---|---|
Set x(0068010E+1)=1 | x(680100)=1 | |
Set x("0068010E"+1)=2 | x(68011)=2 | |
Set x(0068010E)=3 | Syntax error |
The second example above does not cause a syntax error, because the plus sign causes the addition of two values, while coercing the left-hand value to a numeric value, the interpretation stops at the letter "E".
