If ACTIVE is FALSE, the choice is disabled. The user cannot select or deselect the choice, and it may be displayed grayed or in some other fashion to indicate that it is disabled.

If ACTIVE is TRUE, the choice is enabled.

If a value equal to FALSE is assigned to the ACTIVE cattribute for a choice which is selected, the choice is deselected. If an application attempts to select a choice which has an ACTIVE cattribute value equal to FALSE, an error condition occurs with an ecode = "M47" and $EREF containing a value that indicates the ssvn reference for which the error occurred.
