There in no explicit restriction on the number of subscripts in any global variable name. There is an implicit limit on the number of subscripts within a global name due to the command line length restriction (Section 4.1). This does not restrict the depth of subscripting within a global array, since repeated naked references may be used to access nodes at any depth.
