1977 Version of ANSI Standard

3.3.4 Logical Operators

The operators ! and & are called logical operators. (They are given the names "or" and "and", respectively.) They operate on the truth-value interpretations of their arguments, and they produce truth-value results.

A ! B = { 0 if both A and B have the value 0
1 otherwise
A & B = { 1 if both A and B have the value 1
0 otherwise

The dual operators '& and '! are defined by:

A '& B ='(A & B)
A'! B ='(A ! B)
